YHA Leominster

Category:

YHA Leominster was a workhouse of the Old Priory, a Benedictine Monastery that dates back to the 11th Century, and is now a well-equipped hostel.

Come and stay to embrace the history of their surrounding area - we're just a 5 minute walk from the town centre and easily accessible by public transport.

Leominster is situated in the Marches, the fiercely disputed borderlands between Wales and England, which have been fought over for centuries.

they are at the heart of the Black and White Villages, whose style dates back to Tudor times and was famously adopted by the Victorians.

The walking and cycling in the area is excellent, and they have some maps available for sale or hire in the Youth Hostel.

There are several National Trust properties nearby, along with museums, visitor centres and beautiful water gardens.

You can visit the Queenswood and Leominster Country Park, or go for a round of golf at one of their local courses.

If you enjoy your food and drink, sample the cheese at Monkland Cheese Dairy, visit us during the Ludlow or Herefordshire Food Festivals, or take the Cider Route, a 20 mile cycle tour through some of the best cider producing country in the UK.
