Driving Experience Days: Do you know a junior eager to get behind the wheel, but isn't
quite old enough to be in possession of a licence? Then look no
further than the under 17's driving experience, where kids aged 11
and upwards can try their hand at driving and begin a formula one
career ahead of the game! This driving experience has been designed
to teach the basics of driving, in a safe and fun environment.
Participants will be learning in a dual-controlled car on private
land under the expert guidance of a highly qualified instructor, so
you're safe in the knowledge that they're in capable hands.
On arrival at the centre the driver will be given a short safety
briefing before getting behind the wheel and stuck in! During the
90 minute session the skills covered include; learning how to move
off without stalling, changing gears and clutch control, as well as
trying a bit reversing, the dreaded three point turn, emergency
stops and parking! The venue is purpose-built for this type of
experience, so there are all manner of dips and hills for clutch
work and pulling away, as well as practise junctions and coned
routes to truly make the most of the time spent behind the
wheel.
This experience gives a superb introduction to driving whilst
equipping teens with all the basic skills to be safe on the road,
making it a fantastic gift for all young car enthusiasts!
